Affiliate program terms.
Plain language, no surprises.

If you promote ScoutRival as an affiliate, this is the deal between us. It's short on purpose — the whole program is designed to be readable.

01Joining the program

Anyone can apply at scoutrival.com/affiliates/apply — you don't need a ScoutRival account. A person at ScoutRival reviews every application; we approve partners whose audience genuinely overlaps with the businesses ScoutRival serves. We may decline an application for any reason, and we'll tell you if we do.

On approval, you receive your referral link and affiliate code by email. That email is the start of the agreement between you and us under these terms.

02Commission

You earn a recurring commission of up to 20% on every payment we actually receive from customers you refer — monthly plans, annual plans, added Agency seats, and one-time lifetime purchases alike. Commission applies to subscription payments and lifetime purchases in exactly the same way: your rate, applied to what the customer actually pays. If our pricing changes, your rate simply applies to the new price.

Your exact rate is set personally when we approve your application, not by a formula. We weigh four things:

01Authorityhow much weight your recommendation carries with the people who follow you
02Audience sizethe reach behind your channels — newsletter, video, community, client list
03Industry relevancehow closely your audience overlaps with service businesses that need marketing
04Overall fithow you plan to promote ScoutRival, and how well that suits the product

The percentage stated in your approval email is the rate that applies to you — it's also shown in your partner dashboard, and any later change is agreed in writing. Free-plan sign-ups are tracked in your dashboard but earn nothing until the customer actually pays.

03Tracking & attribution

Your referral link sets a 30-day cookie; if a visitor clicks more than one affiliate's link, the last click wins. When a referred visitor creates an account, the attribution locks at signup — that customer belongs to you permanently, and no later click changes it.

If someone signs up without your cookie or code present, we have no reliable way to attribute them — we can only pay on what we can measure.

04Clearance & refunds

Each commission clears 45 days after the customer's payment. This covers our 14-day money-back guarantee with room to spare. Once cleared, the commission shows as Available in your partner dashboard.

If a payment is refunded, the commission on it is voided — refunded payments earn nothing. That's the whole point of the clearance window.

05Payouts

You can request a payout any time your available balance is at least $50. Below that, your balance simply keeps accruing — nothing expires.

Payouts are sent manually by a person via PayPal, Wise, or bank transfer, to the payout details in your dashboard at the time of the request. We confirm each payout by email with a reference.

06What's not allowed

These end the partnership. All of them are things that either deceive customers or game the tracking:

Self-referralreferring yourself, your own company, or accounts you control
Spamunsolicited email, comment spam, or bulk messaging with your link
Misleading claimspromising features, results, or prices that aren't real — if we don't say it on this site, don't say it for us
Brand biddingrunning search or social ads on "ScoutRival" or confusingly similar terms
Coupon-site misrepresentationfake "discount codes" or implied deals that intercept people already on their way to us
Cookie stuffingsetting the referral cookie without a genuine, deliberate click on your link

07Ending the partnership

We may pause or revoke an affiliate account for violating these terms. If that happens, legitimately earned commissions are still paid out — revocation stops future attribution, it doesn't confiscate honest earnings. Commissions that came from a violation (for example, self-referrals or stuffed cookies) are voided.

You can leave the program any time by telling us — same rule: what you've legitimately earned still clears and gets paid.

08Taxes

Commission payments are income to you. Reporting and paying any taxes on them is your responsibility, in whatever jurisdiction applies to you. We don't withhold taxes from payouts.

09The company & contact

The ScoutRival affiliate program is run by Webefo LLC, the company behind ScoutRival. We may update these terms as the program evolves; material changes are announced to active affiliates by email before they take effect.

Questions about the program or these terms: [email protected]. A person reads every message.

// sound fair?

That's the whole agreement.

If it works for you and your audience, we'd love to review your application.
