Birdeye won’t tell you the price. Ours is on the page.
Birdeye is a serious reputation and locations platform — reviews, listings, messaging, social — built for brands running hundreds of sites. It also won’t tell you what it costs until you hand over your mobile number. ScoutRival solves a different problem for a much smaller business: it watches your competitors, tells you what to do today, writes it, and publishes it — for $29, listed publicly, cancel any time.

Two different problems
Reviews are not marketing.
Birdeye is very good at the thing it does: collecting reviews, fixing your listings, answering the webchat, and doing it across a hundred locations at once. If that is your problem, buy Birdeye — genuinely. ScoutRival does none of it.
But managing your reputation is downstream of having something to say. Nobody leaves a review for a business they never found.
ScoutRival works the other end of the funnel. It reads what your competitors published overnight — their website, their blog, and their Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn and YouTube — and at 7am it tells you what they now answer that you don’t, and hands you the article that closes the gap.
Every rival gets a verdict: fight, reposition, or raise your price

The part nobody else does: the writing.
ScoutRival drafts the article from the gap it found in your rival’s content — 1,000 to 5,000 words, in your brand voice, with the answer block AI engines quote and the FAQ schema Google reads. Then it publishes to your WordPress in one click.
Birdeye’s platform runs to reviews, listings, messaging, chatbots, surveys, ticketing and social. Long-form SEO articles and WordPress publishing are not on it.
And it’s worth being straight about the other direction: Birdeye schedules and publishes to social, and ScoutRival does not. We write the posts; you post them, or pair us with a $5 scheduler.

Before you decide
Which one of these is you?
Buy Birdeye
You have someone whose job this is.
There's a marketer or an SEO specialist on your payroll.
You need keyword research, backlink analysis and rank tracking — we don't have a keyword database at all.
Somebody has the hours to turn a report into a published article.
Their data is the best there is. If that's your situation, it's the better buy — and we'd rather you knew now than after the refund.
orBuy ScoutRival
Nobody there does marketing full-time.
You want to be told what to do today — not handed forty tabs of data.
You want the post and the article written, not recommended.
You want one bill, one login, and to be live in five minutes.
We genuinely don’t know — and that’s the point. Birdeye does not publish a price. Their pricing page asks how many locations you have and for your mobile number, then a Submit button. You’ll see figures quoted around the internet; we won’t repeat them, because we can’t source them to Birdeye. What we can source, from their own Terms: contracts auto-renew, stopping one takes 90 days’ written notice (§2.3), fees are “non-cancellable” and “non-refundable” (§5.1), and an 8% “Innovation Fee” applies automatically on renewal (§6).
Does Birdeye do AI-search visibility? I thought that was your thing.
It does, and we’re not going to pretend otherwise — Birdeye’s Search AI tracks ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, and there’s a free single-location checker. The honest differences are two: Claude isn’t in their engine list (it’s on our $29 plan), and their tool is built for brands with a hundred locations, not for one plumber who wants to know why ChatGPT recommends the shop across town.
Can ScoutRival manage my reviews?
No. Not a limitation we’re downplaying — we have no review integration at all, and we don’t touch Google Business Profile or local citations either. If that’s the job you need doing, Birdeye does it well and you should buy it. ScoutRival is the other half of the problem: knowing what to publish, and publishing it.
Could I use both?
Yes, and it’s a sensible pairing — they barely overlap. Birdeye handles reputation and inbound. ScoutRival handles competitive intelligence and the content that gets you found in the first place. Ours is $29–$149 on a card, so you can try it without a procurement conversation.
Where do these contract terms come from?
Birdeye’s own Terms of Service, quoted with section numbers so you can check every one: auto-renewal and the 90-day written-notice requirement (§2.3), the “non-cancellable… non-refundable” language (§5.1), and the 8% Innovation Fee applied automatically on renewal (§6). Checked July 2026. If they change them, tell us and we’ll update this page.
