Your team — one account, the people you choose.
Bring people into your ScoutRival account and decide what each can do. Teammates share your brands, plan and credits — you control the rest with roles and brand access.
Team lets you bring other people into your ScoutRival account — a colleague who writes the posts, a client who just wants to watch, a whole agency pod working across brands. Everyone works in the same place, on the same brands, and you decide what each person can do.
This page is the map. The five that follow it cover what each role can do, inviting someone, seats, limiting a teammate to one brand, and what to do when something's off.
One account, many people
There is always exactly one owner — the person who pays. Everyone else you invite is a teammate, and a teammate does not get their own separate workspace. They work inside your account: your brands, your competitors, your briefs, your connected channels. What they see and change is decided entirely by the role and brand access you give them.
What a teammate shares with you
Because a teammate operates inside your account, they share:
- Your brands — every brand you have, unless you scope them to specific ones. See limiting someone to one brand.
- Your credit wallet — when a teammate generates a post, writes an article or runs an audit, it spends your monthly credits, not theirs.
- Your plan and connections — your Slack, Discord and WordPress connections, your brief settings, your AI models.
Teammates spend your credits. Anyone with an Editor or Admin role can generate content that draws down your monthly allowance — a Viewer can't spend anything. If credits are disappearing faster than expected, your Usage & Activity log shows exactly who did what.
Roles at a glance
Every teammate has one of four roles:
- Owner — you. All access, all brands, plus billing. There's only one, and it can't be removed.
- Admin — everything you can do except billing.
- Editor — creates and edits content, brands and competitors; no team, billing or settings.
- Viewer — read-only. Sees everything, changes nothing, spends nothing.
The full capability table is on roles & permissions.
Seats at a glance
Each person on your team — including you — takes one seat. Your plan sets how many you get: Free and Starter are one seat (just you), Pro is three, and Agency starts at five with the option to buy more. A pending invite holds a seat until it's accepted or cancelled. Full details on seats & buying more.
The Team page, top to bottom
Open Team from the sidebar. From the top:
- The Members card — a seat counter (
used of available), your plan badge, and, when you're at the limit, a nudge to upgrade or add seats. - Member rows — one per teammate, showing their role, the brands they can act on, and controls to change their role, adjust their brand access, or remove them. Pending invites sit here too, with Resend and Cancel.
- The invite form — an email, a role, and the brands they should have. That's the whole flow; see inviting someone.
If you're not an Admin or the Owner, the page is read-only — you can see who's on the team, but the controls aren't there.
Two kinds of teammate
How an invite feels depends on whether the person already uses ScoutRival:
- Brand new to ScoutRival — they get an email with a link that sets their name and password and drops them straight into your account.
- Already has a ScoutRival account — they keep their own workspace, and your account appears under the Workspace switcher at the top of the app. They flip between their workspace and yours from there.
Either way there's no separate "accept" screen to hunt for — the link in the email does everything.
