Buying a plan.
Check out from inside the app, or pay from the pricing page before you have an account and let the signup claim it. Same browser, same email — that's the whole trick.
There are two ways to buy a ScoutRival plan, and they land in the same place. You can check out from inside the app, or you can pay from the pricing page before you even have an account — and the account you create afterwards picks up the subscription automatically.
Payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see your card.
Route 1 — from inside the app
The normal path if you already have an account.
Open Billing
Scroll to the plan grid at the bottom of the page.
Pick monthly or annual
The toggle sits above the cards. Annual is ten months' price for twelve months of service.
Choose your plan
The button on each card takes you straight to Stripe Checkout, already loaded with the right plan and cycle.
Pay
Stripe returns you to Billing with a confirmation. Your new plan and your new credit allowance are live by the time the page loads.
Route 2 — pay first, sign up after
Every buy button on the pricing page and the lifetime page works without an account. You pick a plan, pay, and only then create your login.
It runs like this:
- You click a plan on the pricing page. Stripe collects your email and your card.
- Stripe sends you back to the signup page with your purchase attached to the return link.
- You create your account. Signup reads that link, claims the subscription you just bought, and drops you into the app already on your plan with your credits granted.
No plan codes, no "contact us to activate", no waiting. Most people never notice it happened.
The two rules that make checkout-first work
The link between your payment and your new account is carried in the URL Stripe returns you to. Break that link and the two don't connect — which is the single most common billing ticket we get.
Finish the signup in the same browser you paid in, and use the same email address you paid with. Pay on your phone and sign up on your laptop and the connection is lost — recoverable, but you'll have to email us.
If it does go wrong: don't pay again. Billing troubleshooting walks through exactly what to do, and your money is never lost.
Promo codes
Promo codes are accepted on both routes. On the Stripe Checkout page, look for Add promotion code under the price, enter it, and the total updates before you pay.
There's no promo field inside ScoutRival itself — the code goes in at Stripe, on the payment screen.
When you're charged
Immediately. There is no free trial period on the paid plans and no card-on-file grace window — you pay when you check out, and the plan is live the second Stripe confirms it.
What protects you is the 14-day money-back guarantee: if it isn't for you, email support within 14 days and we refund you. See cancelling and refunds.
The Free plan needs no card at all.
What happens the moment you pay
- Your plan changes — brands, seats and competitor capacity all lift at once.
- Your credits are granted immediately. You don't wait for a billing date to start using them.
- Your renewal date is set — one month or one year out, and shown on the Billing page.
- Your first invoice appears under Manage billing, with a PDF.
Buying Agency from the pricing page? The seat calculator there lets you pre-purchase extra seats in the same checkout — they're on the subscription from day one, with their credits already in your allowance.
